I put on a lot of weight during my pregnancies increasing to a size 22 at my heaviest. I gave up smoking when I first became pregnant and I over-compensated by gorging on crisps and bread. Three caesarean sections left my stomach flabby and prone to weight gain and I felt unable to control my eating habits and lacked motivation.
Being a single mum was hard, stressful and lonely so I would often turn to food for comfort. My main problem area was my stomach! I was totally unaware of how big my food portions actually were and overloaded on carbs at meal times and unhealthy snacks throughout the day. I felt it was so hard to keep weight off; the many diets I tried didn't work and left me feeling hungry and weak.
My motivation for losing weight was hearing friends refer to me as 'Big Emma'. I was mortified I tried to lose weight by introducing exercise which did improved my energy levels, however my appetite would always let me down and I found it hard to cut down on portion sizes.
I was contacted by APPEsat™ and have been taking three capsules before a meal for about five months now.
I've found taking it has helped me reduce my portion sizes as I don't get as hungry when preparing meals. I've also made a real effort to cut out most snacks, again taking APPEsat™ has really helped me here as I don't get hunger pangs mid morning and mid afternoon.
Generally I find it a lot easier to eat less and it has got easier as the weeks have gone by. If I'm ever tempted to snack, as a reminder I pull out the cardigan I used to have to squeeze into when I was a size 22; I can now wear it wrapped right around me! I'm now a size 16 and have lost 3½ stone in total. I now feel confident that I will be able to reach my goal of fitting into a size 12 by the summer.
